Note

This is only a reference/guide with a command generator tool which aims to help you extract certain items from Overwatch so you can create content using them. Always remember about copyrights and follow fair use doctrine.
Actual tool used to export Overwatch files is called overtools and can be found here. All credits for exporting files goes to authors and contributors of this repository.
A lot of useful information about how to work with exported files and how to fix common issues can be found in this Discord. You can also ask there for help if you encounter any issues.

Setup

  1. Download latest version of overtools command line app from creators' Discord.
  2. Extract archive you just downloaded to any folder (do not put it in your Overwatch directory).
  3. Go to that folder. Shift + Right Click on the empty space of the Explorer window. Then click on the Open command window here or Open PowerShell window here to open command prompt in that directory.
  4. Create new directory where you want your extracted files to be.
  5. Use our command generator to create a command based on your needs.

Settings

Enter your Overwatch directory location (folder where Overwatch.exe is located)
Enter directory where you want your files to be exported
